Edwards Gardens, May 2019

Tucked away on the east side of Sunnybrook, this Haven of greenery and botanical wonders is the perfect place to plan a picnic with the family or a romantic date. Because it does not compete with Niagara or the CN Tower, its existence is a well kept secret.

Alongside Edward Gardens you will also find Toronto’s very own botanical garden. Sadly, during our visit this was closed and planting activity was still going on. The botanical garden also has continuing education courses in affiliation with the George Brown College. Who would’ve thought that?

Best time to visit: June – August.
Time needed: 2 hours
Price: Free!
Great for: Young couples, families with children, elders and nature lovers.
